Coleman Churchill is from Hillsborough, North Carolina. His favorite credits at Connecticut Repertory Theatre include Eurydice (The Nasty Interesting Man) Our Country’s Good (Capt. Collins/Robert Sideway), The Laramie Project (Andy Paris/Jedadiah Schultz), and The Importance of Being Earnest (Lane). He’s also worked with the UConn Film Club on Opening Night (Joey) and Socks (Bud). As a child, he would put on plays with the kids in his neighborhood, and his love of performing has only grown since. It wasn’t until arriving at UConn that he realized the power of theatre as a tool for social change and for bringing people together. Coleman strives to create theatre that challenges audiences. When he’s not acting, Coleman can be found playing guitar, drawing, animating, writing plays, or swinging from a trapeze. He believes in the healing qualities of art and expression, and continues to explore and celebrate art of all forms.
